- SK1300DLC

These machines are designed for high-reach demolition of large industrial facilities and high-rise buildings, featuring reinforced structures and specialized demolition attachments.

Key Industry Trends at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026

The machines introduced at the exhibition highlight several major trends shaping the future of construction equipment.

Automation and Intelligent Machine Control

Advanced grading systems, such as Komatsu’s IMC technology, are becoming standard features on earthmoving machines, allowing operators to perform complex tasks with higher accuracy and less experience.

Electrification of Compact Equipment

Manufacturers are expanding their electric equipment portfolios. Electric machines like CASE’s TL100ev demonstrate that battery-powered construction equipment can now match the performance of traditional diesel machines in many applications.

Digital Jobsite Integration

Telematics, cloud-based fleet management, and connected machine systems are becoming essential components of modern equipment fleets.

Operator-Focused Design

Manufacturers are investing heavily in improved cab ergonomics, visibility systems, and intuitive controls to address labor shortages and help operators work more efficiently.

Increased Productivity and Fuel Efficiency

Heavy equipment manufacturers continue to focus on improving fuel efficiency and productivity, as seen in Komatsu’s next-generation dozers and Volvo’s new excavator platforms.

The equipment presented at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026 demonstrates how rapidly construction machinery is evolving. The latest machines combine higher power, intelligent control systems, electrification and digital connectivity, enabling contractors to improve productivity, reduce operating costs, and address workforce challenges. As these technologies move from exhibition prototypes to real-world job sites, the construction industry is entering a new era of smarter, cleaner and more automated equipment.
